Drodzy przyjaciele!



Jesteśmy z Davidem przez dwa tygodnie w Sandomierzu razem z grupą
studentów. Uczymy języka angielskiego w szkołach publicznych tutaj oraz w
pobliskim miasteczku. Miałam ciekawą rozmowę z jedną z nauczycielek języka
angielskiego, która jest członkiem tutejszego zboru. Tłumaczyła mi, że
Polakom trudno jest mówić o ich relacji z Bogiem. Ich wiara jest dla nich
bardzo osobistą i prywatną sprawą. Co więcej, księża w tym regionie często
przestrzegają ludzi przed rozmowami z protestantami. Z tych powodów i wielu
innych, trudno jest się jej dzielić Ewangelią. Serca i umysły ludzi są na
ogół zamknięte i twarde; są podejrzliwi w stosunku do wszelkich grup
religijnych odmiennych od tradycyjnego Kościoła katolickiego.



A zatem, w tygodniu módlmy się wersetami Listu do Kolosan 4;3-4 za osoby
wierzące w Polsce – aby Bóg dał im otwarte drzwi do głoszenia:



*A módlcie się zarazem i za nas, aby Bóg Otworzył Nam Drzwi dla Słowa w
celu głoszenia tajemnicy Chrystusowej, z powodu której też jestem więźniem,
 abym ją obwieścił, jak powinienem.*



Módlmy się, aby Bóg OŚWIECIŁ oczy Polaków (Ef. 1;18), by mogli prawdziwie
zrozumieć, jaka jest ich nadzieja w Jezusie.

Dear friends,

For two weeks David and I are with a team of university students in
Sandomierz, Poland. We are teaching English in the public schools here and
in a town nearby. It was interesting to talk with one of the English
teachers who is a member of the church in Sandomierz. She explained that it
is very difficult for Polish people to discuss their relationship with God.
For them, their faith is a very personal and private matter. Also, the
priests in this region often warn the people about talking to Protestants.
For these reasons and more, it is very difficult for her to share the
Gospel. The hearts and minds of the people are usually closed and hard and
they are suspicious of any religious group that is different from the
traditional Catholic church.

So, this week let's pray Colossians 4:3-4 for the believers in Poland -
that God would give them open doors to speak:

*And pray for us, too, that God may OPEN A DOOR for our message, so that we
may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I
may proclaim it clearly, as I should. *

Let us then pray that the eyes of the Polish people would be
*ENLIGHTENED* (Ephesians
1:18) so that they could truly understand the hope that is theirs in Jesus.
