Drodzy przyjaciele!

W tym tygodniu przypomniałam sobie, że rzeczy, które gromadzimy tu na
ziemi, znaczą bardzo niewiele, kiedy nasze życie się kończy. Człowiek może
zarobić dużo pieniędzy i zgromadzić ogromny majątek, ale ostatecznie nie
przyniesie mu to żadnego zysku. Rzeczy te oraz ciągłe pragnienie, by
zdobywać coraz więcej rozpraszają naszą uwagę i odciągają nas od
poszukiwania Boga. Módlmy się o ducha zadowolenia – abyśmy odnaleźli nasze
największe spełnienie w Bogu i uwolnili się z pułapki materializmu. Obyśmy
nauczyli się się żyć prostym życiem i doceniać rzeczy, które trwają na
wieczność.

*Albowiem cóż pomoże człowiekowi, choćby cały świat pozyskał, a na duszy
swej szkodę poniósł? *(Ew. św. Marka 8;36)

*Nie gromadźcie sobie skarbów na ziemi, gdzie je mól i rdza niszczą i gdzie
złodzieje podkopują i kradną; ale gromadźcie sobie skarby w niebie, gdzie
ani mól, ani rdza nie niszczą i gdzie złodzieje nie podkopują i nie kradną.
Albowiem gdzie jest skarb twój - tam będzie i serce twoje.* (Ew. św.
Mateusza 6;19-21)

Dear friends,
I was reminded this week that the "things" we accumulate in this life mean
very little once life is over. A man may make a lot of money and amass an
abundance of possessions, but in the end it profits him nothing. If
anything, these things and the constant desire to gain more become a
distraction that pulls us away from our pursuit of God. Let us pray for a
spirit of contentment - that we will find our greatest satisfaction in God
and be set free from the lure of materialism. May we learn to simplify our
lives and value those things which last into eternity.


*For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his
own soul? (Mark 8:36)*

*Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust
destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves
treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves
do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart
will be also. (Matthew 6:19-21).*
