Drodzy przyjaciele!

*Gdy zaś Jezus narodził się w Betlejemie Judzkim za króla Heroda, oto
mędrcy ze Wschodu przybyli do Jerozolimy i pytali: Gdzie jest ten nowo
narodzony król żydowski? Widzieliśmy bowiem gwiazdę jego na Wschodzie i
przyszliśmy oddać mu pokłon. (...) I wszedłszy do domu, ujrzeli dziecię z
Marią, matką jego, i upadłszy, oddali mu pokłon, potem otworzywszy swoje
skarby, złożyli mu w darze złoto, kadzidło i mirrę. *(Ew. św. Mateusza
2;1-2, 11)

W ten piątek, 6 stycznia, w Polsce obchodzone jest święto ? Epifania lub
Trzech Króli. Poprzez uliczne parady oraz inscenizacje odżywa historia o
trzech mędrcach. Módlmy się, aby Polacy dostrzegli coś więcej niż religijne
tradycje związane z tym świętem i zapragnęli przyjść do Jezusa w podobnej
postawie wdzięczności. Niech poszukują Jezusa, prawdziwie pragnąć Go
odnaleźć, przyjdą do Niego i uklękną w pokorze, dając Królowi królów
wszystko, co uważają za cenne.

(Proszę również o modlitwę za mną i Davidem oraz 15-osobową grupą z Taylor
University, gdy będziemy podróżować do Polski w tym tygodniu ? 3,4
stycznia).

Dear friends,

*Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the
king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, ?Where is
He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the
East and have come to worship Him.? ... And when they had come into the
house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and
worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented
gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh. (Matthew 2:1-2, 11)*

This Friday, January 6, is a national holiday in Poland - "Epiphany" or
"Three Kings' Day." Through street parades and reenactments the story of
the wise men comes alive. Let us pray that the people of Poland will see
more than just the religious traditions connected with this holiday and
desire to come to Jesus in a similar attitude of worship. May they search
for Jesus with a desire to truly find Him, come and kneel before Him in
humility, and offer all that they hold dear before the King of kings.
(I also ask that you please pray for Dave and me and a team of 15 from
Taylor University as we travel to Poland this week - we fly out Tues.

Drodzy przyjaciele!

Przez najbliższe dwa tygodnie gościmy Davidem grupę studentów ze Stanów.
Będziemy uczyć języka angielskiego w publicznej szkole średniej w
Sandomierzu. Proszę, módlcie się, abyśmy mogli mieć wiele pełnych znaczenia
rozmów z uczniami. Dołączcie do nas w modlitwie, abyśmy mogli nawiązać
relacje i dzielić się wieścią o Bogu w istotny sposób. Módlmy się o
młodzież nie tylko z Sandomierza, ale z całej Polski. Módlmy się, aby
spotkali się z Jezusem i aby to spotkanie odmieniło ich życie. Módlmy się,
aby mieli odwagę samodzielnie badać prawdę Ewangelii i aby zostali
prawdziwie uwolnieni. Boże, objaw się polskiej młodzieży!

Dear friends,

For the next two weeks David and I are hosting a team of university
students from the States. We will be teaching English in the public high
school in Sandomierz, Poland. Please pray that we will have many
significant conversations with these high school young people. Join us in
praying that relationships will be developed and that we can share about
God in meaningful ways. Let us pray not only for the youth in Sandomierz,
but for all the youth of Poland. Let us pray that they will have an
encounter with Jesus that will change their lives. Let us pray that they
will have the courage to investigate for themselves the truth of the Gospel
and that they will truly be set free. O God, reveal Yourself to the youth
of Poland!

Drodzy przyjaciele!

*Błogosławić będę Pana, że dał mi radę. **Nawet w nocy poucza mnie serce
moje. Mam zawsze Pana przed sobą, Gdy On jest po prawicy mojej, nie
zachwieję się. *(Psalm 16; 7-8)

Być może doświadczacie w swoim życiu problemów i nie wiecie, jak je
rozwiązać. Być może Wasza przyszłość jest niepewna i nie wiecie, jaki obrać
kierunek. Być może jesteście chorzy i potrzebujecie Bożego dotknięcia. Być
może zdecydowaliście być odważniejsi w głoszeniu, ale spotykacie się z
silnym sprzeciwem. Niezależnie od tego, co dzieje się w Waszym życiu,
zwróćcie się ku Bogu. On mądrze Wam doradzi, pouczając nawet w nocy w
czasie snu. Ze wzrokiem skupionym na Panu, możemy stać pewnie, bo On jest
po naszej stronie.

Perhaps you are experiencing problems in your life and don't know how to
solve them. Maybe your future is uncertain and your are unsure which
direction to take. Maybe you are sick and you need a touch from God.
Perhaps you have decided to be more bold in your witness yet you are facing
strong resistance. Whatever is happening in your life, turn your face
toward God. He will give you wise counsel, even instructing you during the
night as you sleep. With our eyes fixed on the Lord, we can stand strong
for He is by our side.

Drodzy przyjaciele!

W piątek po południu miało miejsce zaprzysiężenie prezydenta Donalda
Trumpa. Proszę, dołączcie do naszej modlitwy o Stany Zjednoczone oraz
prezydenta Trumpa na początku jego kadencji. Módlcie się o ochronę dla
naszego kraju oraz by podziały między ludźmi uległy naprawie. Módlcie się,
proszę, aby nowi przywódcy rządowi szukali mądrości Bożej. Módlmy się, by
relacja Polski i Stanów była zdrowa i silna. Módlmy się, aby nasze narody
ukorzyły się przed Bogiem i złożyły w Nim swoją ufność.

Friday afternoon was the inauguration of President Donald Trump. Would you
please join us in praying for the United States and for President Trump as
he begins his term in office? Please pray for protection over our nation
and that the divisions between people will be mended. Please pray for the
new governmental leaders that they will seek wisdom from God. Let us pray
that the relationship between the U.S. and Poland will be healthy and
strong. Let us pray for our nations that we will humble ourselves before
God and put our trust in Him.
