właśnie podczas tego święta, 50 dni po zmartwychwstaniu Jezusa, Duch Święty został wylany na Jego naśladowców w Jerozolimie. Żydzi mają w zwyczaju studiowanie Tory przez całą noc w czasie tego święta.
