Drodzy przyjaciele!



Według Associated Press Warszawa może być w ten weekend najbezpieczniejszym
miastem na świecie. W związku z przyjazdem światowych przywódców na szczyt
NATO, nad głowami krążą helikoptery i 6000 policjantów oraz innych
funkcjonariuszy bezpieczeństwa patroluje ulice. Zamknięto drogi i zmieniono
trasy środków komunikacji publicznej. Wczoraj szłam na pieszo na zajęcia z
języka polskiego pustymi ulicami obstawionymi policją.



Wszyscy chcemy żyć w bezpiecznym świecie. Ale poznaliśmy bolesną prawdę o
tym, że niekiedy ludzkie wysiłki w zapewnieniu najwyższego poziomu
bezpieczeństwa zawodzą.  Jedynie Bóg jest naszą tarczą i ochroną. Tylko On
jest naszą mocną warownią. Burze mogą się srożyć, zło może atakować, ale
ci, którzy wzywają imienia Pana, są bezpieczni. To kwestia zaufania Temu,
który obiecuje zawsze być przy nas. To On jest naszym bezpieczeństwem.



Dziękujmy Bogu za bezpieczeństwo, które zapewnia w naszym życiu. Dziękujmy
Mu za to, że nasza przyszłość jest bezpieczna dzięki Jego Synowi.  Módlmy
się, aby Polakom objawiony został dobry i pełen mocy Bóg, który troszczy
się o to, co do Niego należy. Módlmy się, aby Polacy złożyli ufność w
Jezusie i odnaleźli w Nim trwałe poczucie bezpieczeństwa.

Dear friends,

According to the Associated Press, Warsaw may be the most secured city in
the world this weekend. As world leaders have gathered for the NATO Summit,
helicopters hover overhead and 6,000 policemen and other security officials
patrol the streets. Roads have been closed and transportation routes
altered. Yesterday I walked to my Polish language class along empty
streets, lined with police.

We all want to live in a secure world. Yet we have learned the painful
truth that man's attempts to provide the highest levels of security
sometimes fail. There is only One who is our shield and protector. There is
only One who is our strong fortress. The storm may rage, evil may assail,
but those who call on the name of the Lord are secure. It is a matter of
trust in the One who promises to be with us always. He is our security.

Let us thank God for the security He provides in our lives. Let us thank
Him that our futures are secure because of His Son. Let us pray that the
Polish people will have a revelation of this good and powerful God who is
faithful to care for His own. Let us pray that they will put their trust in
Jesus and find security that lasts.
