Drodzy przyjaciele!


Kiedy piszę tego maila, huragan Irma zmierza ku Karaibom i szybko zbliża
się do stanu Floryda. Jak wiecie, zaledwie dwa tygodnie temu huragan Harvey
uderzył w Teksas, powodując wielką powódź i zniszczenie, którego naprawa
zajmie miesiące, a może nawet lata. W północno-zachodniej części naszego
kraju szaleją pożary, zmuszając ludzi do ucieczki ze swoich domów. Zdaje
się, że jedna katastrofa ustępuje miejsca kolejnej. Proszę Was o modlitwę
za nasz kraj. Proszę, módlcie się nawet w tej chwili za ludzi, którzy
doświadczają gwałtowności huraganu Irma. Módlcie się o ochronę życia i
domów. Módlcie się o bezpieczeństwo ratowników, którzy będą pomagać osobom
znajdującym się w niebezpieczeństwie. Módlcie się o wszystkie kościoły,
które będą próbować dotrzeć z pomocą do swoich społeczności. Niech ludzie
doświadczą miłości Bożej poprzez dobre uczynki wierzących. Niech imię
Jezusa będzie wywyższone w tych trudnych chwilach.


*Bóg jest ucieczką i siłą naszą, pomocą w utrapieniach najpewniejszą.
Przeto się nie boimy, choćby ziemia zadrżała i góry zachwiały się w głębi
mórz. Choćby szumiały, choćby pieniły się wody, choćby drżały góry z powodu
gniewu jego.* (Psalm 46;2-4)

Dear friends,

As I write this email, Hurricane Irma is making her way across the
Caribbean and fast approaching the state of Florida. As you know, just two
weeks ago Hurricane Harvey hit Texas causing massive flooding and
destruction which will take months or even years to repair. In the
northwest region of our country fires are raging out of control, causing
people to flee from their homes. There seems to be one disaster after
another. Will you please pray for our country? Please pray even now for
those living in Florida who are experiencing the fury of Hurricane Irma.
Pray protection over lives and property. Pray for rescue teams to be safe
as they assist those in danger. Pray for all the churches who are reaching
out to help their communities. May people experience the love of God
through the kind deeds of believers. May the name of Jesus be exalted in
this time of crisis.

*God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.*
*Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though
the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;*
*Though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with
its swelling.  (Psalm 46:1-3)*
